Mom wants loud tires....

I am surprised Nitto Mud Grapplers have not been mentioned. Not that I endorse them, I think they are terrible tires for off camber stuff and general rock crawling like we have in Colorado. Floridians and other "mudder" states seem to love them and they should last well above 40k.

I can tell you one thing, these will meet her need for a loud tire. Especially after they have been on for 20k+ miles and start to cup a little. They sound like you are driving down railroad ties and you can here them coming from down the street :confused1

EDIT: just noticed you are looking for 31's...I dont think Mud Grapplers come that small. I do not think any <12" tire will be all that loud. She may have to suffer in style with a quite tire :laugh3:

How much are you willing to cut? :D I've seen 35s with a lot of cutting. But, in all seriousness, it depends. I couldn't fit 30s without rubbing, others have fit 31s. I did a 3" boost to fit my 30s, and then after wheeling with sway bars disconnected the first time, smashed my fenders.

Also, read up in the Mod Tech forum, search, there's a ton of info in there about these rigs. Most questions have been covered 18 times, so you'll find plenty of opinions to contradict each other and confuse you. Eventually you figure out who knows their stuff and who doesn't. Welcome to the forum.

Krawlers! Or Firestone destination mt's were fairly loud but wore well. I had a pair of talk ssr swamper that were second to the krawlers and wore decent.

I had some 33x11.5 or 12 (don't remember) on my Titan. So damn loud. You could hear the tires over my intake (volant cai) + exhaust(magnaflow). People complained about the tire noise because they could hear them over the phone while I was driving. People could hear my truck coming from a couple blocks away. I had to get rid of them. Toyo Open Country AT. Much better. I don't mind driving longer distances anymore :D
