Yes...you read that correctly.

So my Dad caved and bought mom an '06 TJ. She's been wanting one and Dad needed a toy too. We're putting 31s on it and a 2" budget lift, and she wants "those loud tires." Did my MOM just say that?!

I run General Grabber AT2s on the street and a worn set of BFG KM2s off road. My AT2s are not loud at all, and the KM2s may wear quickly. Can anyone suggest a 31x10.5 tire that she can see 40k+ out of and will talk to her? It will only see dirt when Dad takes it out or she parks on the lawn.

Sigh...

I have Mastercraft Courser MT's on mine and they are LOUD. I don't know if not having fender flares makes them seem louder, but they are the loudest tire I have ever owned.

Terribly happy with the Hankook ATM's we put on the wife's DD XJ.

not loud though, actually really quiet for what they are.

Why you'd want loud tires in a DD I don't understand. I must be getting old.

She says she wants them; louder than my AT2s. I'm 29 if that gives you a reference to her age....

Both sets of KM2's iv worn have been quiet- and I got great mileage out of both sets.

I'm leaning toward the KM2s or Cooper STTs. They aren't really THAT loud, but have a hum to them. Just want to make sure that they get some mileage.
Anyone have the Goodyear Duratracs? They look aggressive but look like they have street manners as well.

Thornbirds. Boggers. TSLs. Really, anything from Interco besides the Trxus line.

I had BFG ATs and they were fairly quiet. I also had a set of ProComps M/Ts and they were loud beasts (crappy tire, though).

i have 35" sst's and i thought they were pretty quiet. i had 31" km2's before that and they were only noisy when you come to a stop.

IROK Bias Ply will be plenty loud on the street.. haha

This^ I had a set of Thornbirds I got for a great price. I was surprised at how well they ran on the road and decent tread life for what they were. I soon began referring to them as songbirds. They made a ton of noise. I thought I was driving a WWII bomber on the road.

I am a new XJ owner and need to get some tires, not looking to lift it right now. Just wanted to know how big I can go without rubbing. 97 XJ
