This is what I used in the back of my XJ. It is airplane seat track, better known as L-Track. Comes in all kinds of sizes, and different fittings.

We also use it to fly Speaker systems for PA's.

What did you use to hold it to the floor? Bolts or screws?

I just used stainless screws, and locking nuts on the tracks.

Thank you for posting this. It looks like an excellent choice for the application.

I love E-track in my cargo trailer and in the bed of a pickup, but it is too bulky for an XJ. I am going to have to get my hands on some L-track.

More often then not, when you pull the carpet out, the tie downs come with it
