I'm a new 
forum user. I own a '92 Cherokee. I am very motivated to modify this awesome machine to expose all of it's potential as a very competent 4x4 trail machine, and daily driver. It seems to me that there are very specific modifications needed to be performed on these machines to allow them to function as needed. The main one I see is the S.Y.E. The np 231 is pretty much taken care of by the after market, however the NP 242 is not. This transfer case is the love/hate piece, those that use it in a D.D. vehicle where there is snow and slippery conditions don't want to give it up. The hardcore wheelers and sunny conditions crew swear by the NP 231. My suggestion is to create a seperate forum to deal with this very issue, as these Cherokee's mature and become more accessable to the wheeling crowd these issues are going to compound. Therefore having a seperate forum addressing the NP 242 transfer case S.Y.E. solution would be a much appreciated move. Thanks and happy wheelin' and modifyn' Cheers
