Modded steering pump.

I believe this is the correct smaller pulley... someone check my work to be sure. I had planned on installing this but honestly my steering is fine until I am in heavy rocks

I doubt the early V-6 years had electric.

I don't know about the Renix years, but my guess is yes.

I am fairly certain all the H.O. years do.

My 1990 renjx has the electric fan.

As for keeping the pump cool, install a cooler ahead of the radiator. I used the stock tranny cooler for steering fluid (and also have a larger tranny cooler now)
I also installed an inline filter for the steering fluid Magnafine brand filter the metal housing style.
Install cooler and filter on the return, low pressure side, not the high pressure supply side!

I also have a Durango over sized steering gear, direct bolt in.

I still have the stock pump however. she steers nice and easy running 33x 12.5 MT tires.
