I'm almost positive I'll be there for the JV run. We'll have to wait & see when it gets closer. Either way I'm in need of some R&R & it looks like JV will be the next run. I've got a few things I'd like to do to the tractor when things slow down around here anyway so that will give me a few weekends to tinker. Sinclair was talking a little bit about the Pirate BB Carnage for the Cause deal earlier this year & it was around that time of year in JV. Do you know any more info on that. A team would be pretty cool & the look on everybodies faces when the XJ's line up next to those bad ass buggies would be a lot of fun to see.

I'd like to put a team together. The deal is $100 per rig, 5 rigs to a team. It's a timed race from camp, through Backdoor & back to camp, fastest team wins. The porceeds will go to Blue Ribbon &/or Surprise Canyon. I think we'd get props just for getting 5 XJ's through Backdoor, regardless of our time. It's on Turkey weekend, so the timing is tough for you guys that have a long drive, our Thanksgiving run is the weekend before. We need a few good "JV" drivers, Crash, Jes, Matt, Andy Couch & OMH, any interest? Unfortunately, Mr. Gautman has to work.

Paul, have you driven Backdoor? I ran it that one time and was able to drive eveything but the first waterfall. I wonder if it'll be fair game to bypass the Gatekeeper section? Either way the bypass drop in is major pucker factor!
I'd be interested in competing since it's for a good cause.

I don't think there will be any rules Jes, but I do think that we'll need to figure out a way to get the first vehicle up the waterfall in order to tug the others up. Garry & I will run it at least twice between now & then, hopefully we'll find a driveable line. I haven't driven it yet.

I think it'd take a team effort with someone ready to run out and pull winch cable.
I'd really like to see an XJ drive that waterfall, I think it's doable if you "bump it like you mean it".

The other issue is the sand hill climb at the end, you gotta be at 8PSI or less to drive it. I'm thinkin' I need beadlocks.

They're calling it Backdoor? This is the same trail I ran with Gary & nearly rolled in the beginning right?

It sounds like fun, but we'll have to see how the timing works out. It is quite a little trail. I think we could "compete" really well on it.

Ya, Matt. The trail is called Backdoor, the obstacle at the begining that you nearly rolled on is called Gatekeeper.
