I badly want the cage and have already talked to him about it, but I'm broke. As you know my XJ got a little expensive this last month. So as of right now, I'm out. If nobody grabs the cage and it's still around in a couple months and no NEW issues pop up on my rig, then I will try to grab it, but if nobody has dibs on it then go for it. You could probably use that shell and cage more then me.

Well I have to do some research and see how much difficulty it will be to get it smogged with my drivetrain in it. Also I need to check for wiring harness compatibility issues. If there are issues I may have to pass too.

No issues. Cut out your vins and replace them in your new shell. Smog it for what it is, not what it used to be. Since you won't be doing a transfer of any kind, no one will even check them.
