Hello all,
This weekend I spent most of it installing my new exhaust manifold. I went with a Banks, and am very happy with it. Its a 99 XJ, that engine wise is mainly stock and about 105k on it. Its in fantastic shape, so I am trying to keep it that way. Here is the problem; i was methodical during the manifold swap and everything came out perfect. It runs, drives and sounds fantastic with one side effect... I keep getting a code of P0122 and P1694. I have checked and verified all of the electrical connectors, they are in perfect appearance. I even went so far as to swap the TPS for a new one, and it made no difference. As soon as I clear the code, shut if off and restart it, they come immediately back. A visual inspection shows no chaffed wires or loose connectors. Tomorrow after work, I will break out the meter and start checking voltage. I'm wondering if anyone has had similar experience? I'm also going to try a different scanner since I use a dongle and an app on my phone. It has always worked in the past though, so I doubt that's it.
