Hey guys i might be able to come up! I was looking at doing the big bear area anyways. What trails you plan on doing? I dont know if im ready for john bull, Never done it... and from what i hear it could be a ^%$&

We would love to have you join us. Would you me meeting at my place at 8:00 am in Forest Falls or at the discovery center at 9:00 am? In regards to the trail, it looks like we will be running John Bull, but if we get people who do not feel equiped to run that trail but still want to go wheelin with us then I will probably switch to trail to Gold mtn. I want to make sure we include any one who wants to join us. I am pretty sure that whichever trail we choose we will still all have a great time. Once Friday comes then I will make a final list of who is coming so I can get the right food and we can then see which Jeeps are for sure coming and we can pick the appropriate trail.

This sounds like alot of fun. I am only on a 2" lift with 31's but I would like to run JB too, if you don't mind hooking up the strap to me every time I get stuck. I have been on JB before, just not in this jeep.

What do you need me to bring?

I have a 4.5in lift 265/75/16 maxxis bighorn m/t, my axles are open diffs, Have done Cleghorn, silverwood 2n17x trail and many others, just never john bull....

No sliders... I saw someone saying it was a must for JB..

We would love to have you join us. Sitting on 31's you will probably need to be strapped up in a few spots but I got no problem doing that. Do you have tow hooks we can strap to? In regards of what to bring, just bring yourself. If you are planning on coming to the bar-b-que and football game at my place after the run then its BYOB. I have all the food covered at this point.

Alright guys, for those of you coming to my place in the morning and have never been to my place, here is my address:
41671 Island Drive, Forest Falls, CA 92339

If you mapquest or google maps the directions you will probably get lost right at the very end so I am attaching some more detailed directions to make sure you can make the last mile without distress. Although my directions may seem crazy; I can at least be confident in the fact that they will get you to my place. Here they are:

You will take 38 up into the Mountains.
You will drive about 10 miles past the ranger station until the road splits
Highway 38 curves up to the left and Valley of the Fallls Rd. will vear off to the right.
Take Valley of the Falls Rd. to the right.
You will drive about 3 more miles.
Here is when things get confusing. Good Luck.
You will turn left on Island Drive-(Dirt Road with small wooden sign).
There is a house under construction on the left corner. Island Drive is just past the house.
If you miss Island Drive the road you are on will dead end at the camping/parking area about 100-200 yards up. Turn around.
Once on Island Drive you will drive through a dried up creek bed (in total, you will only have to drive about 75 yards)
The road will split in three directions on the other side of the creek. There is a giant Oak tree in the center of the
road with the names of all the homeowners on it. You will see our sign on the tree.
Turn right at the Oak Tree (Now that you are done laughing at these crazy directions, you still have a little further to go)
Stay on this dirt road until it ends.
Our house is the tan and white house on the right side at the end of the road. Ignore the "Keep Out" signs. Just a crazy neighbor.

Looks like AdidasCJ will be meeting at the discovery center at 9:00 am. As of right now we have 5 Jeeps meeting at my place at 8:00 am and we will be meeting the other 4 Jeeps at the discovery center at 9:00 with a total of 9 Jeeps. There are still 2 undecided, so our group may grow a little more. Looks like it should be a good group. The plan is still set to run John Bull. It seems every Jeep going will be able to handle the trail. Some may need to be strapped once or twice, but that shouldn't be a real issue.

So I am building sliders and i got a winch for my BDay so am going to mount that, also getting an air tank for my OBA. I will be working my ASS off tomorrow getting it all done in time!

I hope i don't lose to much lift in the front from the extra 120lbs...

I know whatca mean. I mean im not mounting a weinch but i have friday off so i can do my extended break lines and get my CB hooked back up! So i can be ready for saturday.

Im glad im not the only one who tries to get all kinds of shit done before wheeling the next day gotta check all my bolts and make sure all is tight. other than that i need to pack the cooler with wate, snacks and im good to go. Might even wash the damm thing.
