luck no lunch jeep runs like Poooooo

So I give notice at work for a new job I'm taking feel good about life and the upswing it's taking right.
Ya no that good feeling didn't last long this morning. started up the jeep felt like it was missing running really hard turned it off. tried it again really bad then it warmed up and felt ok. then started driving was fine tell I hit 40 then it felt like it wanted to die and ran really bad. limped it back home at 35mph.

not sure what the deal is have to crack into it in the morning.

nope no check engine light and no codes.
I'm wondering crank shaft sensor or air sensor maybe? like it was choking for air and not wanting to run. Vacuum leak maybe causing compression issues? Going out in a bit to tackle this. Need something to drive to work with right.

Pull O2 sensor before cat conv and see if it runs better.

Gosh too many factors. I've had this happen a couple times. Things I looked at:

Fuel Pump. Distributor. Spark Plugs. Even bad gas.

What about a plugged up fuel filter? haven't tested the O2 deal yet. will get on it in the morning. I miss older cars so much easier to work on.
no distributor it's a 2001 its a rail system so that could be bad which makes sense why it feels like it's missing.

CPS is usually run/no run. Disconnect it and reconnect it. Do the same with the TPS. I think your fuel filter is internal in the gas tank. You have to pull the pump to replace the strainers. I'd just get a whole new pump unit. Check the pressure on the injection rail first. Got good grounds throughout?

If it felt like it was choking out and had very little power, maybe your fuel pump just surrendered on you...
