lower rear end ratios for the street

i know a guy who i can get a cheap set of 4.88's for the dana 30 and 44 in my jeep. the acceleration is enticing, but i think i do too much freeway driving. i have 3.55's now, and 30 in tires. i run 245/60/15's in the summer. would the 4.88s just KILL me for the gas? how much quicker would my xj be?

I think 4.88 with 30" would be silly quick.

If I ran my numbers close, that would be 85-90 MPH at 4000 RPM... 70-75 at 3250...

With the 245s, 75-80 would be at 4000...

4.88's with 30 inch tires. My only response is !

Seriously though some people I know think I am insane for having 4.56's with 32 inch tires (Most on here, including me, would say its perfect though).
