Well, I knew that. That's why your reference to your eyes didn't make sense. I guess if I'd known you were a liar I could have figured it out.

I'll see your Manzanar and raise you the Bataan Death March.

POSXJGuy said:It just astounds me that people still choose to use degrading names when refering to a people's race.

I hope you know that 'Canuck' is a derogatory term that many Canadians take deep offense to, especially when coming from Americans. Its akin to saying Chink, Kraut, Wop, etc.POSXJGuy said:Come on Beej, who are you kidding? You are a Canuck!
HAAAAHAHAHA!!! :roflmao:Beej said:I hope you know that 'Canuck' is a derogatory term that many Canadians take deep offense to, especially when coming from Americans. Its akin to saying Chink, Kraut, Wop, etc.
You can choose anyway you would like to refer to people but in all truth it just makes you look like an uneducated American redneck. Its not about changing words back to humourous epithets based on geographic locations but more about simple, common courtesy and respect for others.
People like yourself generally degrade others to make yourself feel superior and more educated than those around you.
Its a lifelong habit probably and I am not about changing people's traditions.
I am sure your daddy taught you this, and your daddy's daddy etc.....either way, traditions run deep.
Funny though how someone who has probably never been to Canada can open their mouths and act like the Canadians did something against them personally. I have met Americans who actually have been here on vacation who can still accept and respect Canadian culture.
Also, I see you are 33 years old, I am 35 and I can honestly say that you are no more educated than someone who is a mere 2 years your major.
Shame on you! That is some pretty redneck behavior you have exhibited today. You should take a day off :: and take an inter-continental cultural awareness class. I know that you represent the minority of the population but I just wanted to let you know that the term Canuck is degrading.
Remember all of the soldiers who served in the Canadian army, who fought bravely and immediately in Europe without attempting to 'stay out of it' until they were attacked at home, and were one of the most decorated groups that the US allied with during WW2. Here is more info if you have read this far:

Its amazing what a little education and history can do for a person though. It just astounds me that people still choose to use degrading names when refering to a people's nationality...
