You can choose anyway you would like to refer to people but in all truth it just makes you look like an uneducated redneck. Its not about changing words back to original scientific levels due to geographic locations but more about simple, common courtesy and respect for others.
People like yourself generally degrade others to make yourself feel superior and more educated than those around you.
Its a lifelong habit probably and I am not about changing people's traditions.
I am sure your daddy taught you this, and your daddy's daddy etc.....either way, traditions run deep.
Funny though how someone who was probably not in service during WW2 can open their mouths and act like the Japanese did something against them personally. I have met people who actually were there serving in the war who can still accept and respect Japanese culture.
Also, I see you are 46 years old, I am 33 and I can honestly say that you are no more educated than someone who is more than 10 years your minor.
Shame on you! That is some pretty redneck behavior you have exhibited today. you should take a day off

and take a cultural awareness class. I know that you represent the minority of the population but I just wanted to let you know that the term Jap is degrading.
Remember all of the soldiers who served for the ALL JAPANESE 442nd regimental combat team was one of the most decorated groups on the US side during WW2. Here is more info if you have read this far:

Its amazing what a little education and history can do for a person though. It just astounds me that people still choose to use degrading names when refering to a people's race.
"Due to their outstanding bravery and the heavy combat duty they faced, the 100/442nd RCT became the most decorated unit in U.S. military history for its size and length of service. There were over 18,000 individual decorations for bravery, 9,500 Purple Hearts, and seven Presidential Distinguished Unit Citations."
