seems that my airbox is full of oil, oops.
wondered where the leak was coming from all of a sudden. lol

hopefully it's just a vac problem.

I'll give you the oil catch can I made if my next fix works. Have you checked any of the CCV stuff yet? I'm trying a new valve cover with supposedly better baffling and ventilation to see if that helps.

Nooo I haven't even touched it, I just finally realized where the oil was going and coming from, normally it doesn't drip but it's been dripping for a few weeks and normally it burns about a qt every 3k miles and I was three qts low this week :gonnablow
I'm sure it's just the CCV, I did a compression test last summer and aside from #1 all were pretty fine.

it's sitting at work, I needed to fix our runner/beater pickup and it hadn't been driven in months so I drove it home for the weekend. Nothing says fun like an F250 with 300k on it.

it's leaking so much oil out of the airbox that it's finding it's way onto the tire and getting slung in the wheel well though, lol

What was the bid up to last time? $165?

I'll give ya $180.......

:D

Is that thing still there? Is the shop still there?

I don't know. Guess I'll stop in monday and see if he even has my parts. He has a block, rods, crank... I don't know if I want to finish the stroker, just swap in a cheapie used engine, or just dump the thing yet.

Put a quart of ATF and a cup of lacquer thinner in the oil. That should clean any crud and help the rings seat. Clean out the valve cover and associated hoses.

You are most likely a long ways from needing a new engine.

I usually run 5qts of oil and 1qt of MMO, but I'll give that a shot too.
I can't remember my compression #'s, last summer I think 2-6 were about 110-120PSI and #1 was like 85-90.
