I'm looking for a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4x4 with 4.7l V8. Overland preferred, but I'll consider a Limited.

I know this is specific, but they are out there.

Kelly- what makes this suddenly happen? Didnt you have a WJ?

That's a nice looking WJ in the first link and is just about what I'm looking for. I am hoping to find one with 120k max miles, and have seen a few out of state with around 65k miles.

Yes, Jon, I had a 2000 Laredo with the 4.7L V8 and really liked it (also had the '06 with 5.7L Hemi). I'm hoping to find the right WJ to replace the Tundra as a daily driver, then give it to my youngest son for his vehicle in a couple of years. We are relocating to North Dakota soon and think that will be the best vehicle for the money. Yeah, North Dakota. Anything to get out of Los Angeles...

North dakota? Kelly. Wtf

Funny you posted this.... I am looking at that WJ in the link tomorrow. We have been looking for a WJ the past couple of weeks. Test drove another nice one today (Limited with the HO motor, not overland) at a dealer. Price was a little high but it was nice and drove well. I won't comment on the price here as I haven't seen it but running the numbers on KBB, they can vary quite a bit depending on condition and options. It looks like this overland has some aftermarket stuff which could be why they are asking more.

We will see...

we love our WJ. I put about 4000$ in parts into it this year and all the labor hours , but now its dialed in, with 113K its totally worth it. we take it everywhere.

I say grab a WJ but go for the 4.7 for sure.

The wife and I just bought that Overland! You can never have too many jeeps.... :)

Dude that is awesome man. that one looks super clean

I can say a few things-

You MUST verify that the cooling system has been maintained. All wj's want HOAT coolant, it is pink/orange in color. Verify that the engine was never overheated... They drop valve seats. Aluminum head, steel seat.

Make sure the trans fluid looks good, hopefully bright red in color. The 545RFE is a good trans, but maintenance goes a long way. They take atf4.

And Kelly- find a 2004, hopefully later production, especially if going for a limited or overland. The blend doors like to fair, and they fixed the hvac system early 2004 model year, (late 2003 production.)

As you know, we love WJ's.

These two are gone-
