Looking for $1000 transportation vehicle

A friend of my daughter is in a nasty divorce and may loose her vehicle. She needs some cheap transportation. An early XJ would be fine, I could help if it needed any work.

I know that coming down the Pass from Woodland Park towards the Springs on 24 there is an XJ for sale. It's been there a while. There's also a Wagoneer out 24 on the way to 11 Mile Canyon. I haven't fished in a week but I know it was there last week. I'll get info for you Old Man.

Tom any interest in an 85? 2.5l, 5 speed. Needs a carb bebuild

Possibly. I have a lot of experience with rebuilding carbs on that engine. What condition is the rest in? Will have to check about stick vs auto.

try www.craigslist.com and over on the right side click Denver and then cars/trucks. there is a 89 on there for a grand along with a couple others.

Tom, it's in nice shape, lots o miles but runs strong. Everything is in good shape for being an 85. I drive it all the time (when it starts - doesn't like the cold)
