Long shot:anyone know location of fuse or fusable link for keyless on 2k1 xj?

i had threads a while back about my overhead console install. i finally got all of it working, but my keyless hasn't worked since. YES i did swap my original keyless board in and it worked, but this was before my console fully worked as i had some wiring crossed by accident. now, all my wiring seems to be right, but no keyless, and i hate not having it!

i dled a fsm but it had no mention of the location of the fuse. it's not in the fusebox under the glove box or under the hood and i've checked all of the fuses there. that's why i'm wondering if there is a fusable link that perhaps went? i don't want to bring my xj to a dealer and see if they can reset/reprogram my keyless if i don't have to, but that may be my only option. i just didn't want to have to pay big money at the dealer for stock keyless that i already had and broke because i could pay the same probably and get an upgraded aftermarket alarm with keyless.

anyone have any ideas?

Your shure the batteries aren't dead in the transmiter right? Setting inside the Jeep when you press the button can you hear the relay in the module clicking, or does any of the other features of the RKE system work?
There is a fuse in the junction box (right side kick panel) for the overhead console #16 ( though nothing should be working if it is blown). Also check the grounds. If you think the module is working check the LB/RD (lock) DB/PK (unlock) wires at the passanger side door PL/W switch's connector. You should get the respected signals when actvating the RKE system. If every thing seem to lead that the module is bad of the transmiter is bad your going to have to take it to the dealer to have it reprogramed.

all the fuses were fine and my power locks still work from the inside. i'm doubting it's the batteries because both remotes worked before and neither do anything now, so it looks like i'll probably need a reprogram. i just hope i don't go there and have that done and it's something else.

thanks for your response, i appreciate it.
