After installing a new hard drive and Win2000 I'm having to log on to every time I visit. I don't have to log on to the other sites I visit.
Any idea as to what my problem is and why I can't stay logged on here?

Your log in is done by session cookies held on your PC. You may have corrupt cookies, and the best way to deal with that is to manually delete your cookies.

Cound be worse - you could have installed WinME! Every system I've run across running ME is failure-prone...

Okay, that may have been the problem as I was logged on this time. Got my graphics accelerator to work, now I have to figure out how to get my sound to work. This computer crap can be so frustrating!

Oh? does not use the same cookie the other forum does. You NEED to delete all of your cookies if you are having login problems. Cookies are stored on the end user computer, and have little to do with the layout of the forum.

Yes, my cookies go bad on other sites, but I do not tell them "it cannot be my cookies, cause they work on other forums". Cookies go bad. It happens. Delete them and move on.
