Stock 2000 XJ limited. This one is going to stay on the street, and will be driven in deep snow on the road and possibly flat-ish dirt roads under snow. Going to put a good tire on it, maybe a size or two larger with just a simple budget boost.

I don't know how to install a locker, but would like to go with a cheap lunchbox style locker in the front D30 so i wont have to hear it clicking while i'm not in 4wd. Who do you guys trust for a simple lunchbox locker install?

I'm in Shelton, have a two car garage and all basic tools if you or anyone want to lend a hand!? I'll pay too...never set up gears before or done anything IN the diff so I didnt want to get in over my head.

I have a shop in Naugatuck with a lift by food and I'll do it for you.

Yea!? That would be awesome! I need to educate myself on which brand to get and what parts i need, when can you fit this job in?? PM me if you have time.

Yes, but IMHO, removing the carrier makes it easier, do it in a warm shop standing up, keeping an eye on the small parts.

heck yea it would make it crazy easier. Iv always had the opportunity to do it with the carrier out. but If I had to I probably wouldn't go though the trouble of pulling it if I wasn't changing gears at the same time.

im also a gluton for punishment. hence my love of jeeps

What brands are the latest, i see powertrax on sale and read a few reviews for spartan. Whats cheap and reliable?
