Is blacking out your lights legal? It looks cool! nice looking XJ.

James.

Is half of the stuff we do to our rigs legal? I know my flares, flaps, no front plate, illegal bumper height, width, etc, etc. are probably more of a violation than the blacked out tail lights :) hahahaha

Welcome to the NW, Kevin.

Thank you sir. I've been here a while. Look backa few pages and you'll see my old blue XJ. I must say I think that is the first welcome I've gotten though.
Now I just need to make it to one of the events.

Welcome back aboard, even though I haven't even met you yet. :) You can run a stock XJ at TSF, ask Brian.

BTW, thier may be a run at TSF on the weekend of the 14-16 of July, in case your interested.

I'm the main mechanic on saturday's so it's tough to get them off which is my reason for not making it to many events. Plus Tour De France runs the first 3 weeks(i think) of july and we get swamped with customers and often get 13hr days just trying to get peoples bikes fixed in time. I'll try to get a break though.

I just got my 89 Laredo last week. It's a 4.0 5spd, and has 35/30 with 3.07's. The tires are 30/12.50/15 Thornbirds. They look cool, but I'm not too impressed with them in the mud. Other than the 4.5 inch lift (springs and cups up front and springs and blocks in back) and tires it's all stock.

If I could figure out how to post a picture it would go here...

I Hope to see you on a trail soon.
