Lift plans for a new Jeeper

So I got a friend that picked up his first Jeep, 99 XJ AW4/C8.25. He wants to lift it and run 31x10.50s or maybe 32x11.50s with NO cutting. He’s looking for some recommendations so I put together a list of what I would run and want to see your guys opinions as well… so here’s what I have so far….

And this is his DD…

- Rubicon Express 3.5 coils
- Rubicon Express 3.5 leafs
- Rubicon Express Double shear track bar bracket/ track bar and their brace
-Someone’s sway bar disconnects (I have no experience here, I run crap ones!)
-Extended brake line for the rear, plan to relocate the fronts
-U bolts
-Will probably recommend Bilstein 5100s but will bump stop and measure first
-Steering box spacer, JCR or similar

Now what I’m still not sure on is control arms, I’m thinking at least lowers and adjustable for when he wants more….lol… but not sure on brand… been a long time since I have looked at short arms

Oh and SYE Kit, I hear the Rubicon stuff runs high for lift… any guess if he will need a SYE kit? I will probably tell him to plan for the cost just in case.

So what would you do if you were starting over?

It being a DD, I would gear towards comfort and drivability. But that is just me and its what I would do if I were to start over. Now the Bilstein shocks will add greatly to that. I would look into OME lift, from what I hear it is smooth as silk. As for lower control arms I would suggest a set of Iron Rock Off Road. He should for sure at least add lowers to help with bump steer. A set of HD no lift shackle relocation boxes would be great also.
A SYE should be done with a front DS and call it a day-

I have 99 with a 3 inch RC lift. Drove it for a while without a SYE but I am glad I have it now. If the RE leafs and coils run more than their advertised height I would just do the SYE right away.
