I believe I read a section pertaining to life members. I searched the by-laws among other areas but was unable to find it. I believe it says that lifetime membership is only offered on occasion when agreed upon by the board and only for financial reasons.
Maybe someone else is more familiar with the area in which I read this. If so, please post a link to it as I am going crazy looking for it and would like to read it again.

There are some that got the life membership for their efforts towards the club, and there are some that bought it 
At one time (in the beginning) from what I understand, 
had shortage of those little green papers, and the efforts to print some failed (ink smeared) so life memberships where offered up for a limited time for sale.
