If ya haven't seen the concept look it up.
35's locking diffs. Kings. Winch. Lift. Oh and a diesel.

Factory.

My guess is a 35k tag. But it's a lot of killer stuff in a stock Pickup. Could be a real winner.

1. Image 2, what is that hanging down so low?
2. What is image 7?

What's the suspension? IFS front and solid axle rear?

Beadlocks from the factory, that is impressive.

My guess is rear shock.
Image 7 is the handle that holds the spare down in bed of the truck.

Supposedly ifs and sar. Dunno axle or tcase or any gearing.

Some reports are of the 275's (33's) and some are of 35's. I'm hoping for the latter.

So if it's built for rock crawling, as the story says, why would you hang the rear shock that low? Shock travel is more impt for speed than crawling.

That makes sense about the spare. Being old school, I was thinking, what, spin off wheels like the old English sports cars. :)

Haha. Cuz it's a factory built vehicle. It can't make total sense.
Lol that would be ridiculous. I think the wheels are hideous stock. Nose has new grand cherokee feel to it.

And while the spare mount with high lift thing is cool, why buy a pick up if the bed isn't usable? I think the tail lights need the typical land rover pseudo armor to show how serious it is. :) I think what will come from the factory will be the stickers, fancy shocks, and a locking rear, GM is far too owned by the Obama crowd to commit to a dedicated off-roader.

GM is notorious for having bad ass concept vehicles and failing miserably on execution. That said, I would rock a 4dr version of that concept truck.

Im actually surprised none of the big 3 have really done this sort of thing before. With the popularity of the Rubicon TJ and JKs, as well as the Raptor, there is obviously demand for this type of specialty vehicle. The Powerwagons were similar, but those are huge and not offered any more.

1. The beadlocks would be like the Raptors, they are "wheel trim rings" that you use as the lock. That way the manufacture is not actual selling you a BL, but you can do it.

2. Make it a 4 door!

3. If it happens, it will be a $50k+ truck. Think of the Rubicon, Raptor or the Overland Grands. If you want fancy suspension, lockers or diesel, you get the upgraded everything package. Leather, HIDs, nav, adaptive cruise control, etc.

4. It would be awesome to have them make it a stripper, with manual windows, locks, and AC as the only options.

5. That thing is ugly!

6. As Dutch said, if it does make it to production, it will be a neutered version of what you see.

They do still make the Power Wagon and you can get the Power Wagon in a Tradesman package. I agree the Power Wagon is a bit large, but so is the Raptor. For me the Power Wagon is the ultimate factory hunting truck.

Ugly.

Looks like they tried to blend a Nissan Frontier and a Toyota Tacoma (i.e. Asian styling).

Anyone notice their genius decision of where they mounted their front reservoirs for the Kings?

Here's a hint: Look at the lower front, near the front wheels. Nice and low, and exposed.

BRILLIANT!

And King wins advertising. Plain and simple. The fascia is even cut out to make sure you can see it.

It's going to be interesting to see how close it does come to concept. Though I probably wouldn't consider it since it is a Government Motors product. :D
