Im going to be replacing the orange side markers and blinkers with either clear corners or some "smoked" ones. Just wanted to hear with you guys think would look better on my Jeep. I already have my tail lights tinted and will be making them a little darker/

I have the smoked ones, the zomk speed makes both clear and smoked and you can find them on ebay, I think the smoked ones look better on a darker jeep. They are of very good quality. If you would like to see some pics lemme kno.

Smoked is out for sure! I never have understood why anyone would want to make their lights HARDER TO SEE! Do you want to be hit in the a$$?

If you must change them go clear and get a good set of amber bulbs so people can see your signals.

I think both look ricey and supergay. Save the cheap Chinese eBay parts for Honda Civic owners.

I wouldn't say clear corners are "ricey", as they are much more common on european vehicles than japanese ones.

Smoked lights are not only stupid, they're ugly. THEY belong on ricers.

But yeah if you get clear corners definately get some amber bulbs. I think clear bulbs and lenses are illegal in some states.

I have the clear ones on my white xj. Dark ones would look kinda weird with your chrome grille.

Leave turns stock, maybe do the sidemarkers dark.

my vote goes to smoked, they'll match them rest of the black stuff on your rig.

Or you could do the super cheap way and just paint them like i did on mine.

Thats what I was thinking. I could even get the clears and if I dont like them I could just do them myself. Thanks for all your opinions, keep em coming! Thanks for yours too Mike! This thread is about personal preference and it looks like im not the only one interested in this "mod".

You should get replacement stock all the way around and smoke them all at the same time with the same shade. You mght like the transluscent grape, since they go a bit more purple than the transluscent candy red, but are not quite black. I think that would look best with your shade of blue.

I have seen those headlights before and heard they suck, but it would look pretty slick with black markers, head lights and tail lights. I do like the idea of using a different color to tint them though, Ill keep that in mind.

Words of advice, Don't ever buy headlights off Ebay that are less than 30 dollars. We told the guy who purchased those lights they were going to suck, and he got them, and then agreed with us.

I also vote smoked, with the VHT Nightshade.

I'd consider the clears on the front with orange bulbs but leave the sides stock so it would look a bit like the '84-'96 trucks.

Begster, I was wondering when you would be chiming in on this. I think I have spoken to you about the nightshade stuff before. Your tails are tinted too right? I think Ill end up going with the full set of clears maybe mix and match them and try different combinations of the stock and clear to see how that looks. Thanks for all the input and opinions guys.

Yes I believe we have talked. I have noticed that the front lights are still plenty bright if you don't over do the paint. I enjoy the look of them on a green XJ. My tails were tinted with AVS covers, but I haven't had them on since my taillight broke and one fell off on the highway, then when I replaced the taillight I didn't have more of the tape to put it back on. Honestly I don't mind the look of the back having color again.

I forgot to say before, thats a great looking Jeep you have there.
