Kudos to Pres. Bush

prove it kiddo

By definition Communism is a form of Socialism and I have lived in a country which till late 80's was in the Easter Block and part of the Warsaw Pact. I have seen it applied and I have seen it's faults and merits, I have also studied it in depth as that was a requirement while living in such country, heck I have even learned Russianand at one point I was pretty damn good with it (although I remember very little of it as I haven't used it in ages) .

In any case, you seem to be omnipotent or something, as I haven't seen a topic in which you have participated without making definate statements and requiring others to prove to you their expertise... so how you prove that you're right.... state your case point by point and prove that you know what you're talking about as thrown out sentences don't really mean much.

WHAT IS YOUR DEAL?!?!?!

I dont like communism, and it sounds like thats what your preachen. I think you just dont know about such things. I agree that the the United States is not as freedom friendly as it used to be, because of all the knuckleheads out there. Its still the most freedom of any country in the world. Also, KEJTAR is from the old iron curtain countries in europe, so he has probably seen first hand what communism is.

Now biscuit head, please refrain from SPOBI activity!

You don't like Communism, but you love your fascistic leader bush the lesser? And if your leader really cared about the troops he sent over there to die for his oil whey did he cut veterins benifits? The only WMDs are bush and chaney, so now let the redneck responces fly.

Kind of chicken sh!t to make statements like that behind an alias. If you have the balls to make statements like that, use your real name. Otherwise, you're just a sh!t stirrer.

A few points...

1) The primary source of US oil is actually Canada. The problem we have is that prices are by and large set by Araby - the majority of OPEC.

2) Fascism is a system of economy. Communism and Socialism are political. Check your facts.

3) Why do you assume we are "rednecks" here (your term?) Check backgrounds on us - most of us are highly educated, highly productive, and highly qualified in whatever it is we do. "Redneck" carries connotations of incompetence and ignorance.

4) No matter who he is, the President does not make policy, he can only approve it, and can be overridden by Congress. While this is rare, the power of the "Line Item Veto" seems to have been forgotten of late.

5) Remember what regard the previous CinC had for the Armed Forces? Hint - Clinton was a felon (draft dodger) pardoned by Carter in the late 1970's. He spent most of his draft eligibility for Vietnam hiding in England...

6) Gotta toss this one out - if you want to make an effective argument, you should check your presentation. I know I have typos and omissions every now and then, but damn! Again, be sure of your facts as well.

7) Be careful whom you choose to enter pissing matches with, you might run into trouble...

5-90 you response was good, what was ment by redneck was "Kind of chicken sh!t to make statements like that behind an alias. If you have the balls to make statements like that, use your real name. Otherwise, you're just a sh!t stirrer." And come on one year awol in the national guard is not much of a military record. And as for fascism, that is big buisness running government. I think Haliberton and the Carlile group count as big buisness. I just don't like when peoples post back up the stereotype that all offroaders are like the Dukes of Hazzard. Not trying to be a "sh!t stirrer" you guys do have good tech info.

You do realize that the United States Armed Forces are comprised of VOLUNTEERS.

I, Gavin Ferguson, do solemnly swear that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God.

Our brothers-in-arms knew what they could get into, if they didn't, they weren't thinking straight. You don't join the Armed Forces to eat cake and prance around all day.

And why do you focus on the WMDs? Do you think that Sadam should still be in power? And guess what, the "redneck" respsonses that you will get from folks are from "rednecks" that have shed blodd sweat and tears for this country, so be grateful for the "rednecks."

It is also great that you can compare communism and fascism, kinda like apples and oranges. Communism has more to with economics, and making sure that wealth is shared among everyone, than it does politics. Facism has to do more with a bunch of like minded people looking for acceptance and such. Take for instance the KKK and other such "brotherhoods."

It is not so much that we love our leader, as I am sure that many here disagree with several things he does, but we took an oath, and that means a hell of a lot to most of us.

So keep your idealistic views, but please become more informed before you open your mouth, and hide behind your computer.

Gavin L. Ferguson

PS- Arnold's father was a Brownshirt. Do some reading and find out what that means.

EDIT: grammatical errors. Didn't want to sound like a "redneck"

Sorry to do this to you 5-90 but..... "Fascism is a political theory advocating an authoritarian government" (I actually looked that up to make sure I didn't say it wrong :D) so Fascism is very much political...

shawd up kid......

but thanks for playing.

Socialism works. And we here in the US move ever closer to socialism lite..... And that fact is a good thing.

Ok Jeep Biscuit.... *what is your solution*????

Done a good job at thinking you are shooting folks down, though I think most of us see right through all of the fluff. :)

What would YOU do to solve all of these problems?

Since you appear not to have ever served in the Armed Forces... I assume you to be a Liberal, and will want to spend all of the money supporting the poor. Since that is the minority of votoers... how to you presume to carry this out?

Very curious. *YOU Solution* please.

Biscuit, move far, far away to a socialist country. I doubt you'd like it.

I bet the Web Wheeling is just as good though, as that's probably all you'd be allowed to do.

People like you should leave the US of A alone.

Sorry Kejtar - but I never make mistrakes! Seriously, thanks for catching me on that, it's been YEARS since senior year Civics, and something tells me that I might have had half of it mistaught to me anyhow... I guess I should check my own facts! Speaking of which, where was your source for that, I'd like to review it to correct my own mistake... Oh - I don't suppose you'd mind talking about your early years with me sometime? I'd just like to hear about your weltschanauug sometimes... (I probably spelled that wrong, I've not spoken German in a number of years...) Open or backchannel - your choice. I've always wondered where you're from, but I've not been able to place your name accurately...

Now for you, JB, why is moving toward "socialism light" such a good thing? You've made a statement, I expect you to be able to supply the supporting logic that lead you to it. Oh - and what's the genesis of "a year's service AWOL in the National Guard" - I'd just like to check that before I take the time to return fire, and make sure it's a worthy target (service in the national guard during wartime is nominally better than running entirely - it's a matter of volunteering before you "get volunteered," and indicates that one may still have been subject to military training and discipline at some point in his life.) Put simply - if you happen to be talking about me, be ready to "fill yore hands, pardner."

Socialism is, unknown to most, a corruption of Marxist Communism, and is commonly miscalled "Communism" by even those who practise it. The practise of Communism can only take place in "Utopia" - which is itself a word that literally means "nowhere."

And, if Socialism/Communism is so damn great, why it is falling apart everywhere it's tried? Most of the old Warsaw Pact was Socialist, and has undergone numerous regime changes in recent years. The Soviet Union (USSR - Union of Soviet Socialist Republics) has dissolved - does Commonwealth of Independent States mean anything to you? Frankly, the closest things to working Socialist States right now are England (really a limited Monarchy with recent Socialist developments) and Canada (whose Socialised medical programme is so piss-poor that it is common to find Canadian citizens in the US paying for health care that they'd get for free at home...) So what's so damn good about Socialism?

In the final analysis, Socialism is really nothing more than the Welfare State taken to its (il)logical conclusion. In order that we may prevent Socialism in America, the first things that must happen is the termination of government-subsidised existence - you know them as Welfare and Social Security. Privatisation of Social Security would be a step in the right direction. Scrapping and reconstructing Welfare programmes - or just scrapping them and having done with them entirely - would be another. I have my ideas for that, but this is not the appropriate forum for such discussion.

One more point - what is your moniker, sir, so that I may denounce you properly! I tire rapidly of arguing with an individual when he does not care to reveal himself... You currently have me at an advantage, as I exposed myself to lend credence to my opinions.

Faux, don't know that I've ever been called a redneck before, but if that's your best defense for what you know was a rash statement...oh well. I'm sitting here at work in a fairly expensive starched shirt, tie and slacks, not exactly the kind of person you'd normally call a redneck. I also have three daughters that have been through college, and they keep my conservative mind fairly open to others ideologies.

It impresses me when people are willing to make strong statements of opinion, and not hide while doing it. You and I have a right to our opinions, informed or not, and I have no problem with you expressing it. You see, I have a pet peeve about people being more outspoken on the Internet than they would be in person, especially if they run incognito. While you made an underhanded response to my response, you still didn't say who you are. Now, JB is having fun playing so it matters little, but you appear to be serious. Don't be afraid to speak your opinion and thoroughly identify it as your own. We may meet one day, and have a chance to chat around the campfire, but I wouldn't know it was you.
