SEC... we are about to take a trip out west to do a little wheelin'

Hope to keep you guys updated on our trip as we go, with atleast pictures for now. We will be taking video with 4 gopro cameras! My task is to record this adventure the best i can, and share with you guys as we go...

It will take me some time, but after the trip, i plan to put together a few videos summarizing our adventure... but doing video and editing is new to me, so there will be a delay for me to learn things.

A couple pics before we head out...

You guys be careful! I know you'll have a blast because....well....it's KOH!!!!!

Well we left Tim & Rebecca's house a little later than planned due to some trailer wiring issues... which put us leaving Atlanta at 5pm rush hour traffic!!!

Here are a few pictures from the "Bus Cam" ...hope to have some good ones the further West we get!

The bus has been doing great! We began to notice a puff of smoke off and on, and decided to check on it, and everything else while stopping for food outside of Birmingham.

Taylor crawled under the bus to find the crankcase vent tube dripping oil onto the exhaust because it was slightly over filled. It resolved itself on its own after a few more miles...

...and because every guy wants to know how he measures up! :dunno:

As of this update, we have crossed the Mississippi River and are headed through Arkansas on I40 about 90 miles from Little Rock...

And what did the bus weigh? Did Tim open the stacks back up, didn't he tell me they were filled with great stuff and holes at the bottom where the exhaust came out?

That's how they were, but Tim made them function again

The number we were trying to stay under was 30k (trans limit) ...we were about 33k :dunno: but the good news is, Tim said we lose 1 lb per every mile we drive... So we will be much lighter when we get to the mountains. The bus has been doing great, trans running about 155* and cruising across flat land, egt's are 8-900 doing 60mph.

As soon as day breaks, I'll start my driving shift (near Oklahoma City) and start the bus cam again for more pictures!

I think we need a camera pointed at you driving. Could make for some interesting pics.

Sweet!

I thought about it... Might set one up, we'll see.

After my 12 hour stint behind the wheel, the report is that the Bus fully rocks!

Since the new injection pump mods, even over loaded, we can maintain 60+ on all but the steepest grades.

We are sitting at a truck stop, not buying fuel, but eating a home cooked breakfast of waffles and bacon!

If it is at a restaurant, can it really be "home cooked?" Looking forward to more pictures and stories. Y'all be safe and have fun!

I would say it's home cooked in the Bus.

Does that kind of weight require a CDL?

Theyre about to cross into TX.

Yeah it varies by state, but all states have reciprocity with regards to driver license.

Legal in your home state,= legal in all states.
