Anybody no if it is open to Florence or Edison Lake, or whether it will be by the 22nd? What about strawberry or Red Lake?

Know of any good camping spots in that area that a stock s-10 blazer can get to?

Thanks!

Heah Jason, is this a trail you are going on? What's up with the s-10 blazer question? Are you coming on the mid june Rubicon run? How about the Lost Cost trail during Memorial Day weekend? Just wondering.

I'd also like to invite you to a run this Sunday up to Signal Peak. I have more details on another thread. . I going to be locked front and rear very shortly so I'm trying to get as many runs in as I can. I bought a dana 44 with 4.56 gears and a detroit & a dana 30 with 4.56 gears and a arb. I just have to bleed the brakes and hook up the e-brakes on the rear dana 44 & install the wiring/switches/air hose etc to get my arb functional. I'm then planning on painting the ext body of my xj with red, smooth, uv protected Durabak & putting on some Lebaron hood vents. I tell you things never end, when is a off-road rig really done? When the $ runs out or the women leaves? :D

Just going camping with some buddies. I traded the XJ for a Blazer, I wanted something a little more comfortable.

Maybe. nope.

Thanks, but I'm building a fence :( so I don't have to worry about the wind blowing it down and our neighbors dog Kujo eating us.

Oh yeah, the blazer is just a friends. :moon:

I hope your kidding about selling your xj for a blazer. I mean come on, a newer xj like your is comfy enough, plus with your mods, really where can't you go with it. What kind of dog is it? It's pretty windy by you up in Woodland huh? There were a few twisters up there in the last year I heard.

Just some crazy Mutt. Right now my fence is being held up by a 2x4 brace, some rope, and my crowbar that I drove into the ground. Nice!

like chuck said, check with the ranger station...my idea is to camp at courtright lake....the lake is awsome and is a paved road all the way, with good camping. take dinkey creek rd then turn off at mckinley grove rd, it'a about 35 miles east of shaver lake. [by the way, this is where the dusy/ershim trail begins] have fun...my family camps this area every year!

Thanks all. Kaiser Pass Road opened Friday. We'll be staying in Tent Cabins at Mono hot springs since nobody's going to want to set-up tents at midnight. I'll have to check out the end of dusy for some fun! :D
