Why cant i rivet and cut back fender and put the flare back on ?
Not going to be crawling on rocks just a lot of mud down here and some nice wooded trails...........

you can, its not that hard. trim the inside edge of the flares (the part that curls back in towards the tires) and you' get more room that way as well.
