Speaking of Fire..
I am thinking maybe a bon fire at my house some time...
Jon and I were talking bout doing a wrench day with fire in the evening or something to that effect...
Nothing final yet maybe later in the fall.

Bottom line is we're in this because we like it & enjoy it. Not to have some status or rank. You are welcome to come hang with us rookies and greenhorns any day. We like the brotherhood of the "jeep thing" ...No "us & them" line with us, just mutual respect. And we wont judge by lack of dents on your vehicle. Or the ammt of tickets you got on the turnpike.

I could have a spot for that too, but youre a little more centralized than I am. My folks place has a shorty trail we can spin around on too & plenty of wood up there.

Ha yeah, actually the place to have a Wrenchfest would be the other garage that we (J&S Customs) used to do all of our crap out of. Just side jobs and crap, don't really do anything any more. But it's right next door, there's a fridge and huge stero system...just gotta move some of my crap out of there, which will be next weeks project probably. My firebird is in there, but it's pushed off to the side. I just have to move my snowmobiles out (township wasn't happy about them sitting outside) and clean up the tools/workbench area.

Warwick township. One of the neighbors called them on us I believe. I had to scrap my parts jeep (which I was planning on doing anyway) but they bitched about my snowmobiles sitting outside and my suburban too (uninspected for the moment). But yeah, it pisses me off too, people should just mind their own friggin business.

Well nobody wants to look at 15 vehicles on blocks with grass growing up all around them and through them and whatnot. Not saying that’s what you’re doing but that’s usually why townships have dumb rules like that. Yes it’s your property but if you have neighbors they have to look at it. Not siding with the township really but if my neighbor decided to have a mini-junkyard with no plans to clean it up right on our property line, and would not clean it up per my request, I would hope the township would do something about it.

And if you were my neighbor and you called the township on me, I would start stacking the cars on each other.

Get a fence if your that worried about it. Its my land.

What do you want the township to do? Tow the cars away? plant grass?
Why do some people seem to think that just because something is "ugly" they can call the township and ask them to have it removed?

My neighbor hasn't fixed his mail box since the last time it got smashed its ugly I should call the township.
what next?
they going to tear my house down because I haven't fixed the paint chipping off the gutters and faceboard? or fine be because My siding is aluminum and out of date?

oh I have grass growing cracks in my drive way...

and don't get me started on those places that have grass height ordinances.

Yeah, I understand why they have an ordinance. If your place looks like crap, the neighbors house value goes down. The guy that complained is just doing it to be a prick though. One thing that does piss me off is that people from the township will just come over and walk around our property without permission and snoop around.

That's BULL
If any one ever complains about that ask to see their appraisal..
The house value does not go down unless you are trying to sell it and no one is buying.
I have had my place appraised a number of times and there is nothing on that piece about how my neighbors property looks.

oh, and township needs warrant just like anyone else. They are trespassing if they do that.. You have the ability to put up posted signs which prohibit them from doing that.

Uh oh. Mark you're gunna hate my dad.

Haha just kidding, He DOES work for our township though. He is the building code official and zoning officer. He does more house/building inspections though, and doesnt get one peoples cases about dat sit. OUR neighbor had 2 feet tall grass for 9 years and my dad had the job the whole time, never said one thing.

He DOES get bitched at alot though for stuff like that and he tells them to stop calling him for stupid stuff :D
