Re: NAC Lots-O- Posts Thread-Part Deux

glad to know I've been missed heh....I've had interviews every day so I've been pretty busy. Ty, my springs haven't came in yet...I ordered them a week and half ago so I'm not sure what's going on with that. I'll email fullsizexj and see if he has any updates.

Cody, lemme know when you want to get that tire.

Re: NAC Lots-O- Posts Thread-Part Deux

Why? Whats wrong lol. Text me if you dont wanna talk on the forum haha

apparently i haven't soent enough time with her around her b-day even though i just got back monday afternoon and spent lunch with her yesterday, I was also not creative enough on her present and therefore she didn't want it, she is just mad at me and doesnt want me to go to her own bday party which is ridiculous, im leaning towards this actually ending things because it's just not worth all of this and for it to go sour next year when I am off at college anyway.

and my life equation will always and forever be god>jeep>women

good deal

also heard you have an antenna you may be looking to get taken off your hands????

and do you also have a 33x10.5 spare I am still on the fence on wether to go 33x10.5 or 32x11.5

Re: NAC Lots-O- Posts Thread-Part Deux

is that a d60 up front there??? if so why only 35"s?

No, its a HPD44. The 35's still have plenty of life in them, and so far I haven't NEEDED anything bigger (mind you... I have WANTED 37's... just don't NEED them yet....) I'll probably wheel on those 35's until they don't work well in the rocks anymore, or I wear them out, whichever comes first.

That is a great equation. Some may argue about the Jeep thing, but no complaints over here :D

As far as Sydney, that is actually really ridiculous. See I only see the good side of her, thats why I said to wait it out. I still think you should give her the benefit of the doubt, but what you just explained is ridiculous. We are still young, life goes on yano.

Re: NAC Lots-O- Posts Thread-Part Deux

I am planning on doing this down the road here. Just gotta sell some stuff first.

I will stop a lil better with these.

FROM CHEROKEE FORUM:
I have been doing some research on doing a disc conversion for the rear of my 2000 XJ. I got a great deal on a 2006 Jeep Liberty rear end with only 16k miles. I was able to purchase this rear end from a guy I know for a low price of $200.00. The he even thru in the parking brake cables. He has a couple more floating around somewhere. The axle had 15" wheels on it when I picked it up account the factory wheels were sold so I knew there would be no clearance issues. So here we go:

The brakes removed from the Liberty axle The factory hardware kit still had paint on the springs:

The backing plate on the Liberty is about 3/8" thick vs. the 1/8" thick on the XJ. The mounting bolts are about 1/4" too short The bolts that hold on the backing plate on are no different than wheel studs. Just knock them out and put in the longer studs from the Liberty:

Apply the new backing plate from the liberty. Use a lock-tite on the studs to hold on the backing plate. It is a direct fit:

I took this time to install new axle seals to keep from doing this in the future.

Now apply your axle, rotor, and caliper I turned the axle after it was installed to make sure there were no clearance issues. Everything is going well so far:

There are a couple different ways to mount your brake line. It is your choice. I did keep it up above the axle to prevent damaging it while on the trail You will have to bend your factory steel line how you like to meet up with the new brake hose. Also attach the Libery parking brake cables as shown. You will have to attached the ends of the cables to the factory splitter that goes into the main cable out of the console:

Now put you wheel back on and bolt it on:

Now adjust your cable and bleed the brakes. So far the brakes are excellent. I didn't notice a difference in the pedal travel. I have a proportional valve from a Grand Cherokee and the one from the Liberty. I may install one of these and see how things go.

This was an easy install. It took about four hours total. Five including removing the brakes from the Liberty axle. I think the hardest part was trying to route the parking brake cables and brake lines/hoses. These axle are out there but you just have to find someone wanting to part with it.

Thanks for looking.

Nah, I only have 32" spares. Yeah, I have an extra antenna, I'll throw in free with the tire. Brad gave it to me with my cb, but I'm using the magnetic style mount, this one is the screw on style.

Re: NAC Lots-O- Posts Thread-Part Deux

theres not much choice on a TJ where to mount a magnetic antenna... you'd have to stick it on the hood :) Youre better off with this one Cody... just pick a spot and make / buy your mount & yer all set.

gotcha, that housing just looks huge in that pic so I dismissed the d44 idea

Re: NAC Lots-O- Posts Thread-Part Deux

signed the contract on the house today and took a second look. I'll post some pictures of the really flat concrete driveway with the big garage (detached).

yeah I know what you mean the chicks swarm its just hard picking which one:rolleyes:

but as a kid this equation works well when the right woman comes along if I had to the jeep would go for her and only for her. Love is intangible and not replaceable , I get that.
