i want one but i dont wanna pay $300 for one...and i have yet to see a decent home made snorkel setup that i would like.... thats why im just gonna cram a filter in the cowl like the pics i postd up

o ya! def using pvc.. steel gets hotter than plastic thus making hotter intake air.

Ty, there's a set of Rancho LCA's in the jy if you're going up there anytime soon. Hammered and I didn't see most of your stuff there, although I believe he has a front skid for ya.

pretty awesome, but my thing is, doesnt it suck to take off your wipers to change / clean the filter??

I'm just thinking dust buildup, thats what mine got clogged up with. I bought a new one so I have a spare... quicker to swap out.

Ty, there's a set of Rancho LCA's in the jy if you're going up there anytime soon .

they're one piece ones with rubber bushings, so they'll prolly ride half decent for street (much like the Rubicon Express super Ride control arms) they charge 10$ a piece at the yard... so not a bad investment for the BB lift.

my buddy has the same mod, it was full'o'crap in there.

think of any debris that normally hits your windshield, while driving or parked. It had leaves, twigs, bugs and plenty of dirt that was rotting the filter.

I think its a good design, but you'll want to clean it more often than you think.

did a little cut+fold on my rear fenders yesterday..
