Re: NAC Lots-O- Posts Thread-Part Deux

My jeep has aids, I broke the power steering pump reservoir plastic piece that feeds the return line, while replacing the steering box. Now I have to replace the pump and reservoir...gay...

Re: NAC Lots-O- Posts Thread-Part Deux

Not sure why that comment made me think of vacuum lines.. but anyway. My Jeep seems to have the "all or none" illness. My heat/AC is either on 100% full blast, or off. No in between. I.e. fan speed is not adjustable at all. It worked fine before I put the Jeep in storage for a while, now it does not.

Am I correct in assuming I probably have a cut vacuum line somewhere? Is fan speed vacuum line controlled? Has anyone checked if the Haynes manual has vacuum line routing so I can figure out what is what? :D (or hell, if someone had this problem and knows what to look for, thats cool too!)

Re: NAC Lots-O- Posts Thread-Part Deux

Ugh my drivers side door is finally on its last leg. Most likely will be falling off soon ha. Time to find someone to weld it up.

try the blower motor resistor.. it should be under the pass side dash.

Re: NAC Lots-O- Posts Thread-Part Deux

You guys should get together, buy a case of bolts, a case of beer, and a ten foot length of the flat stock needed and have an "anti reverse lambo doors" party :jester:

Re: NAC Lots-O- Posts Thread-Part Deux

I'm starting to think that I will be doing the hinges this weekend for those short breaks from dealing with cutting sheet metal while the tank fills. I picked up a 4' length of 3" wide flat stock (or something around that size). It's just sitting in the back of the Jeep for now, waiting until I get around to working on it.

I should swing by the JY for a couple new hinges. My lower (and maybe upper) drivers side hinges are all sorts of facked up (think worn down and hollowed out) from the P.O. leaving a broken hinge pin in there and just ignoring it.

Re: NAC Lots-O- Posts Thread-Part Deux

I'm probably gonna be in the XJ section at Sams all morning Saturday... I will have a sawzall. I think I'm gonna pull a header panel, quarter panels, and maybe a hood for spares/my friend's MJ, need help pulling hinges? I don't think a sawzall will do very well removing them, but I could be wrong.

Re: NAC Lots-O- Posts Thread-Part Deux

Sams is approx an hour from my place IIRC. I just talked to another guy who went to everettes recently... that guy said that even after C4C everettes XJ selection sucks. Granted he may not go there often and not know exactly where to look (XJs are pretty much in the back corner) but still... Maybe I will call in and ask if they keep a record of what vehicles are in the yard. Either that or maybe I will take a drive up to sams. I will be bringing a sawzall and maybe a circular saw if I man up and buy a metal cutting blade for it. Them things are expensive though.

Re: NAC Lots-O- Posts Thread-Part Deux

I gotta do that door mod when I get the money/time/tools/patience haha. My drivers door is SO effed up.....I guess thats what happens when you slide down a hill with it open and have a tree nearly rip it off.....

I have a dumb paper to write too :(
