Yes, but unlike many of the past strappings you've received, this trail actually looks like one needs a strap.....(insert school girl wimper here) :laugh3:

Yeah, but if you put the pics side by side (play connect-the-strap).....

You'll see that, in addition to the two fellas, we were using my rig as additional ballast over on the other side of the obstacle.......

:laugh2: :laugh2: :laugh2: :laugh2:

Troy,

Your rig is 15 feet in front of were mine was during the picture taking. I don't have the picture of your rig in the exact same spot as I was. I am sure someone does. I remember seeing and helping quite a few rigs from the vantage mine is being tugged in...including yours. B for effort

EDIT: Troy I stand corrected, YOUR rig was not pulled from that angle, it was pulled from the rear over the rock I was pictured on. However this rig was tugged just like mine :laugh3: Nothing wrong with that. I wanted the tug and so did others. No problem, just pointing out all us feel tippy....even you. I remember having the discussioin with you about were you were going to be tugged from and your cage was too far behind your 2drs B pillar. :)

I always thought running the strap over the top gave better leverage... or is that just for righting upside-down vehicles?

Looks good to me!

Remember that pic of Farmer Matt using the winch cable hooked up to his roof rack to keep his XJ upright off the rocks. Talk about leverage. :laugh3:

The higher you can tie the strap on the more leverage. But if you were to tie onto my roof rack, and the jeep started over. The jeep would be on it's side, and there would be a couple of people with a rack on a leash. :laugh3: :laugh3:

So are tube doors stock on xj's? and if so you guys are saying that it makes it easier to strap your jeep so it dont roll?

im unknowledgeble about tube doors, enlighten me please

That isn't the trail, that is the entrance to the parking lot.

There are several uses for tube doors.......hitting on 14yr old girls in bowling alley parking lots is just one of them......

And they make it easier to achieve the "Dukes of Hazzard" style entry and exit.
