Junk Yard Parts Finds/Requests

The Milwaukee 18V stuff is nice. Batteries are cheap if you have a miwaukee repair center nearby. They sponsor habitat for humanity and always seem to have tubs of the lipo batteries for 25-30/each. They have a deal going on until the end of the month, buy certain tool sets and get a free tool with it. http://www.cpomilwaukee.com/

There's a white XJ with a rear 44 at the Milliken yard located up against the wall. It's also half off this weekend.

A good selection of XJs at U Pick Parts in Sun Valley... A super clean tan 87 and even two 97-01s.... Even was able to find myself a clutch and brake pedal assembly out of the tan one for my CJ5. Even found this sweet mod in one of them....

I don't think the YJ/CJ clutch/brake pedal boxes are the same as XJ ones... even year to year on YJs they are different. Found that out the hard way when swapping a friend's 87, he bought an ebay 90s YJ pedal box that claimed to fit 87-90 as well.

We aren't going to be just doing a direct bolt in. We want to convert our CJ from floor pedals to hung pedals.. We plan on cutting them up. Atleast that's the plan hahaha

Oh, well, more power to you then! That should be interesting, make sure you take into account firewall reinforcements and bracing from the MC mounting bolts (if you're going with a hydro clutch setup) to the clutch pedal pivot point. AMC forgot that would be important for the 84-86 XJ models and they commonly have firewall cracking issues because of it, in 87 they added bracing like I described and MOSTLY it's fine after that.

My inventory on HO heads is dropping. If anybody has or finds/pulls a 7120 HO head from a yard or their personal stash, I'd be more than happy to compensate you.

Thanks!!

No rush but if someone ever sees a tan center console for '95 with 4x4 and manual trans, and could pull it for me, I'd certainly appreciate it.

manual and auto should be the same. the rubber shifter boot snaps out of our consoles. 2wd should also be the same, the insert should pop out for the t-case shifter if i remember correctly.

If anyone finds one of the solid V-8 ZJ tie rods, I could use one. Even if the bends in mine are where they are supposed to be, it would be good to have another one as a spare.

Yup.

tcase bezel is the same auto vs manual, and snaps in on all years, though 96- vs 97+ is different.

shifter boot is different auto vs manual, but snaps into the same hole on a given year range. That's 96- vs 97+ too.

(I've done AT to MT and 2x4 to 4x4 swaps on both early and late models)

does anybody have a spare trans cross member they don't need?

Pick your Part in Bakersfield, has a 91 XJ with a budget lift, not sure how much lift, coils look new, you can see the AAL is a different color too, has ZONE shocks and steering stabilizer, didn't notice if the spring hanger was stock or not

If anyone should run across a non-disconnect high pinion D30, please post up or send me a p.m. so I can grab it. Thanks!
