Junk Yard Parts Finds/Requests

mine was too but i made it happen. but i needed it for my rig not a few extra bucks so i made sure i got it. what yards do you go to? i usually hit the one in hesperia and berdoo.

im in north OC so the ones closest to me are the santa fe springs ecology and pick your part off beach blvd. occasionally i'll make a run to ontario and hit up the milliken and hillside yards. ecology is probably my favorite since they seem to rotate pretty often and usually have a nice variety. and working on concrete vs. dirt is better too!

There is a Dana 44 in a (XJ) Wagoneer @ the Pick A Part on Pyrite in Riverside. Also a Grand Cherokee (I dont know the designations...wj,zj???) with the pass side 'high steer' knuckle and dual piston caliper. Driver side is already gone.

The interior color was red (maroon), didnt even pay attention to the tail lights, sorry.

thats cool, thanks. atleast i know it is not worth the drive for me since i have the maroon all ready and want to swap it all for the tan. i wont go all the way up there just for a possible tail light.

just got back from santa fe springs ecology. there were 3 dana 44s, two XJ and one MJ. there were also a set of D44s on a waggy. other than that mostly 2.5s and a couple v6 XJs. some 2 doors too

Any early style tire carriers?

do you know if they still had that 97+ white xj? i got the header panel/grill off that thing a couple weeks back and i kick myself for not getting the fenders >:(

Are you going to graft it to Blueberry?

Pinoeer/tool rack on the 92 although Blueberry could use a tire carrier also. I wonder if Julio still has the later style carrier.

Care to do fab work?

I have a busted one somewhere, looks like somebody flopped it open until the cable stopped and kept pushing. Could easily be fixed by cutting out the damaged tube and welding in new metal.

Don't think it's complete though, best bet would be to grab the hardware off a junker.

When can I come pick it up? Better yet bring it up to BB over the 4th.

A little more info from S.F.S. Ecology;
Both 2 doors have front skids that should fit all years.
One has a factory tire carrier, mounts are still on the body, tire on swing away is in the back of a chebby truck.

There's a very faded burgundy XJ against the back wall that might be worth looking at. Had yellow front lift coils and dual Rough Country shocks, small lift block in back with Koni shocks. Front home made tube bumpers with bull bar and plate that ties in to the factory skid, side steps / light duty rock rails that tie into the "frame" and pinch seam. Finally probably the best model of factory tire carrier. Hinges through the rear fender and at the bumper end, locks into the center of the bumper with a bump stop over the license light and a center mounted tire. Interesting that it's all on an early 2.5L 4x4.

There's also a beat up Comanche in the back corner.
