I'm thinking Detroit rear ARB Front. I saw a racer post saying he runs spooled rear so I was thinking it would be cool. I just don't want to crap my gears out everywhere and most the builds I've seen here made no mention of traction adders.
'Should be ok as long as you're not in to the gas when you hit. An un-engaged ARB is stronger then the regular carrier(4 gear spider arrangement) If you mash the gas at just the right time, you might be able to duplicate the broken axle shock load/unload situation that can cause the detroit to explode, but not likely. As mentioned, the usual casualty is the housing: Hey dude, why are your wheels pointed in like that? Oops!
Don't hear much (or anything) about lockers and jumping being a problem. Many, many 4x4's have lockers and plenty of them jump the rigs occasionally. Of course, how big you jump is an issue for the strength of any part.
