Jumping on the build wagon

Any updates?

Tell me about them-thar disc brakes!

What retainers used, did you change the Proportioning valve?

Yes, pics please.:eeks1:

honestly ive been working my ass off lately
its not too complicated to swap the discs on the back
even the e brake setup is super simple...thats if the guy pulling the stuff gets every thing you need

THINGS YOULL NEED
both left and right backing plates and dust shields
if you want e brakes youll need to grab all the little parts from the e brake shoes, lever, adjuster etc
you can purchase every thing but the lever new from Vato Zone
grab the calipers and rotors too

i utilized the ZJ brake cables and the splitter plate they go into that bolts to the bottom of the body
i also utilized the stock hard brake line from the zj and the stock soft line for the zj
its good for at least 6 inches of lift

If i had it to do all over again i would have had machinist Paul open up the backing plates and drill the holes to bolt it to the axle on his bridgport but you can do it your self with a sanding drum

you'll also need two of these to properly space the bearing and seal

Things you should know:

pull the parts your self
i found out the hard way that you can bolt the backing plates on basically upside down or on the wrong sides rather, as the bolts are symmetrical
while it didnt hurt any thing i did cuss a lot when i had to tear it all back apart

Looking good. What did you end up using to stiffen the frame. I have heard mixed reviews on using 3/16" and 10 gauge. I'm thinking of using 3x3x3/16.

I used HD Offroad mid stiffeners and a set of TTGD Fab front stiffeners
the reason for the big cut behind the coil tower is that the friend that installed them didnt make sure they were flat against the frame before burning them in in a few spots
so cut, flatten, weld, fishplates to come
