I would definitely do a 2x6 rocker replacement. Also look on here for articles related to a rear "cut and fold" and front fender trimming since you want to avoid lifting an expedition rig too much. What are your goals? Expedition only? XJ's are among the best expedition starting points you can get. Maybe the best on a budget!
