So yesterday, I was just out in the garage working on some stuff, when I get a call from this kid I went to high school with. He used to have an old suburban, and he thinks they are the greatest trucks ever built, so he tells me that hes got a freind thats in town with an older suburban he just bought on 12 inches of lift and 40 inch ground hawgs, He decided he wanted to test it out and see what it can do. btw, I live out on 5 acres of property, and we've got a pretty crazy mud pit we made in the back. So they came over, and said they could make it through. Upon further inspection, the burban had stock axles, with open diffs, and stock gear ratio. Haha, I knew he'd never make it. He starts going through the easy end, and he's like hey this is alright, little did he know, we dug out the other end to make it a little more interesting. He dropped into the big hole and instantly buried it. The more he tried the more stuck he got. so I pulled him out, and I told him to try the other way, because their is less of an incline and its a bit easier. So he did, and got stuck again. He kept working it back and forth and finally got out after 15 minutes. Right as soon as he got out he looked at my jeep and told me that it was my turn. I laughed a little and said are you kidding, My little 33's in 40 inch ruts. So How could I turn that down? I went and got my jeep, decided to go the same way that he made it through, dipped down into it, (water was over my hood) Instantly got stuck, and kept working it, But much to my surprise made it out under my own power in only 10 minutes. I call it a good showing for jeep, the look on his face when I made it out was priceless. haha. just had to tell that story.
Oh btw, if you want to give it a shot, pm me and I'll tell ya when you can come out.
