jeep in water

Ok i have a 01 jeep Tj with the 4.0. I have an xj also but well i would guess that its the same motor without the distributor. Well after going in deep water,fast. The jeep died. Battery died so switched in a new one. Have been haveing a sputering problem and cant really find the problem. I replaced the cps sensor. Jeep has good fuel pressure and spark. I checked the plugs cuz it feels like a plug is bad. I have the hypertech so i hooked it on and tells me P0205 something about 5 injector circuit. I have no idea. TPS seems good. The only thing i can think of is a bad o2 sensor, but in wasnt in the trouble codes. They also told me a messed up PCM. i took off the hypertech program and returned to stock and still same problem.. Ok well today i switched out a computer from my 01 cherokee and it did good no problems but died after 2 min. I put the tj computer on the Xj and did the sputtering thing. SO DO U ALL THINK ITS THE PCM. has anyone everhad this problem.

Hard to tell, but I take it we're talking about the TJ here?

Check all sensors under the hood for water....most of them dont take too kindly to getting wet.

If you're going to get wet, buy an Argo, or Max 6x6. They're designed for going through deep water.

yes jeeps are not to fond of the H2O but its still fun to try --Newbies--

Try wiggling each fuel injector, sometimes they come unclipped and the car behaves like its missing.

might want to do a continuity test on that #5 injector connection/wire...

when you say that it's sputtering, is it doing it through all rpm's or does it do it at the top of a gear right before it shifts? It might be in limp-mode. The code P0205 sounds familiar...upstream O2 sensor maybe...but I'm not even 50% positive on that.
