Jeep Compass

Just curious if anyone is seeing these on the road?

I have a feeling they might be a major flop for Jeep.(I really really hope they cost DC a fortune)

I got thinking this after realizing I have seen 10-1 as many Dodge Calibers.

I have yet to see 1 in the KC area.

I agree, it is going to be a turd for Jeep.

:lecture:

I've seen exactly 1 and the owner told me she'd never off road it. She has it for "bad weather" driving. Its alright to sit in, I wouldn't want to be over 6 feet though, it looks kinda tight.

Not really. I think I've seen maybe ten since they came out.

Looks that way - though at the LA Auto Show, the guy on the Jeep stand showing the Patriot said that they expected to sell three Patriots for every Compass.

Same here. And to be honest, I can't figure out why people buy the Caliber, either.

I have seen a couple of them here and there. Jeeps are really big on Cape Cod. Wranglers are all around because of the summer weather, and winter weather too. There are a lot of Commanders around too.

My brother-in-law bought one a few weeks ago. Traded in a perfectly fine Toyota Tacoma crew cab. Why? He said his wife wanted more room for the baby and stuff. I guess there's more room out of the weather but it's certainly no Toyota. It's just a little goofy car. They'd have been better off buy a Ford Focus.

I've seen lots of Dodge Caliber TV commercials over here so they are making them in RHD now. I haven't seen one on the road yet.

Still no 2007 Wranglers yet, I guess when they start making diesels they will start selling them.

How do the prices compare? Roughly $2 = 1 GB Pound Sterling

Freelander2 (Likely to become the market leader)

DC already commented that they're targeting the "Wigga" crowd. Good money from the dumbarse crowd- but of course they want a "Jeep".

Not many rocks in urbanville. Fun to watch them slide into/onto sidewalks in the snow, too.

I haven't seen one! Lots of Calibers, no Jeeps. In fact there aren't even very many in the car lots?

I can sort of understand DC's desire to move the Jeep name into the traditional Subaru market, but their advertising campaign has not really touched on that. You have to wonder if the marketing people have actually talked to anyone else at DC?

Oh well, I hate them anyways so who cares if they flop....maybe they will build another affordable and capable SUV......NAH...You right....I am dreaming!

x2 Wiggas+Compasses can :flame: in hell

BTW: I wonder if they will make Caddilac hood and grill conversions for them like they do with other vehicles that need to be wangsteriezed.
