Jeep Cherokee XJ Rear Shock Towers

Yes, I essentially made a U shaped bracket out of 1/4" steel. The bracket was welded to the spring plate making sure I had enough room to get a socket on the u-bolt nuts.

Then I welded the shock stud to the inside of the plate ensuring the stud was high enough to clear getting the shock on and off.

XJ in Vegas, I can't remember exactly where I sourced the shift boots, but they are just 80-86 Jeep CJ t176 shift boots that I cut to fit snug around the shock body.
