Up for sale is my custom Jeep Cherokee 4.0 turbo kit. It will fit all the single outlet 4.0 liter 6 cylinder manifolds as far as I can tell. My truck is a 1995 so do your own research from there. My truck has a 4.5 lift with long arms but the kit should also fit taller or lower trucks with stock location arms as well. My truck also has ABS so it fits with or without that as well. This kit makes great power and it comes on hard a bit under 2000 rpm and is full spool at 6 psi nice and early. This kit on the dyno made 176hp/226 Ft lbs. at the wheels through an AW4 automatic. This kit has under 1000 miles on it. My truck is just a hobby and not a driver so it sits most of the time. This is 100% bolt on with the exception of you tapping your oil pan for the oil return.

The kit will come complete and ready to bolt in with the following:

T3/T04E 63./60. 60 trim turbo. No shaft play. Doesn't leak or burn oil
38 mm Tial style external wastegate
100% TIG welded 2.5" up pipe that bolts to your factory header
5 bolt to V band TIG welded down pipe adapter
TIG welded 2.5 V-band down pipe with stainless flex coupler
Downpipe has 2 O2 bungs in it for wideband O2 use
TIG welded intake manifold to turbo brace
TIG welded stainless steel dump tube
4 ply silicone couplers
Aluminum charge pipe with TIG welded blow off valve flange
RFL style dual trumpet blow off valve
Stainless braided oil feed line and adapters
Drain flange assembly and drain hose with clamps
Walbro GSL390 high pressure external fuel pump with a prewired relay and all wire.
Paxton Fuel Management Unit with fuel injection hoses
MSD Boost Timing Master for timing management with remote adjustment knob
AEM dryflow air filter (little beat up to fit but new)
Aluminum turbo heatshield
Aluminum ECM heat shield
Custom fit pillar pod gauge holder
Boost gauge with 7 LED colors and all hoses
I will include all the fire jacket material to insulate fuel lines

The kit is not for the faint of heart. If you are not good with tools or are mechanically retarded, this isn't for you. If you can't understand the basics of a turbo system, this isn't for you. There is obviously no implied warranty for parts or for fitment on your truck and you may have to make minor modifications depending on your suspension set up. I don't need to sell the kit so low ballers need not apply. Asking $1800 or best offer. I would prefer not to ship this, but will at buyer's expense. I can take cash, postal money order or paypal with fees paid. Shipping price depends on location. This kit is still on the truck and will be removed Sunday 2/15.

can i go for a ride in it before it comes out?

sounds like a nice kit, good luck with the sale

i think those are the factory specs on the engine, by the time it gets down to the wheels i its closer to 130hp

don't quote me on that, but there are a lot of losses throughout the entire system. tire size/weight/gearing is going to play a big factor to the horsepower and torque at the wheels. the numbers will definately be higher on stock tires

billy must have been having a brain fart.... he knows better that that...

The factory specs are 190 hp and 220 ft pounds...

is $1800 and all the time into this really worth the 6 ft pounds of torque???

the kit looks professional, hopefully your number are a misprint

A Hesco stoker makes 247 hp and 300+ Ft lbs of torque at the crank. Guess what the numbers were at the wheels on the dyno? 175/225. I make more power on 6psi on a stock motor that a $3k stroker.

Yes with a boost controller the boost can be turned up considerably. Yes premium fuel is a good idea. I was going to add meth injection to it, then you can run regular without detonation.

Im taking it off to start another project that I need money for. I know Im going to end up hating to drive the jeep without the turbo on it now that I have felt the power it adds.

Does it put any abnormal wear and tear on the motor? I mean, obviously it does, but I'm talking in terms of engine life. Is this thing gonna make your rig need a powerplant in half the time of running it stock, or is it not that drastic?

Not that drastic but anything that adds power will eventually decrease the life expectancy. At 6 psi I really wouldn't see this shortening the life of any 4.0 liter. They are very stout motors.

are they forged internals?

(i'm a turbo guy, just not on my jeep.....

....yet...)

Nice kit. I like the fact that an intercooler isn't necessary with the low psi, and it keeps plumbing to a minimum. how's the stock ECM handle the changes, or are you 'dumping' pressure pre-MAP?

The stock map is a 1 bar and doesn't throw a CEL. The FMU does the rest. No forged internals. They seem to handle boost well though.

true, they are 1Bar maps..

side note:
Map Sensors are rated in absolute pressure which means that a 2.5 bar sensor will read atmospheric pressure (1 bar) plus 1.5 bar of positive pressure e.g. boost pressure. If the boost goes above 1.5 bar (21 psi) then the boost over 1.5 bar will not be compensated for.

A 1Bar map sensor is rated for absolute pressure, no boost.

having said that last sentence, many 1B maps will compensate, slightly, beyond their rating. 6psi is very close to that range..

I'm still kinda jealous. If it weren't for having kids, I'd prolly buy this! ;)

good luck with the sale!
