I have a complete turnkey High Output 4.0L that has less than 10,000 miles on it since I rebuilt it. Block was originally from a 2001 XJ Cherokee. Head was rebuild at same time, has hardened exhaust seats and factory valvetrain components. Was resealed with all rubber gaskets, no cork. Has factory 2001 Jeep designed high flow water pump, high flow thermostat housing, high flow superstat thermostat, 1999 and newer equal throw intake manifold, all brackets and accessories on the front of the motor are included as well. Complete 1992 MJ Comanche / XJ Cherokee engine wiring harness, sensors, smog equipment and ignition system are included. Also comes with exhaust manifold, exhaust down pipe, valve cover, oil pan and a Hesco throttle body spacer. Engine has only ever had Royal Purple 10w/30 oil in it. Ran like a champ, moved on to a Grand Cherokee with the V8, so I have to let this motor go.

All you need is a Jeep and an engine management computer and it's ready to run!

1992 MJ Comanche 4.0L Manual transmission computer also available - $300

Engine is still sitting the my Comanche, and will not be pulled until I have a buyer. I am in Garden Grove, CA

thats what i thought when i saw your price.

I purchased a remaned motor last year from an engine builder for $1500 but it was just the engine with no valve cover, oil pan, accesories, header, etc. So $1800 with everything included seemed like a fair deal to me. Coming from someone who has put their foot in their mouth before; maybe we shouldn't bad mouth people's asking price. If you don't like the price, then don't make a comment.

i paid 2600 hundred to have my motor rebuilt. but i replaced alot of the componentes as well so 1800 is a fair price as long as you have the receipts and such to back up the rebuild.

Top - Still for sale. This set up would be perfect for someone who wants to convert a 4 cylinder Jeep or a Renix (87 - 90) 4.0 to a High Output 4.0L....

Price is negotiable.

Indirectly, yes, yes I do. I have a PayPal account, and they accept credit cards...Gotta keep in mind though the percentage they take out but since the price is negotiable...

Lower mile 4.0's with accessories usually go for about $600. Wiring harnesses with computers go free to 50 bucks around here a lot.

I didn't comment when you first posted, but you have since asked what a fair price is..

Thanks for the input.

if this thing is still available in about a month i MAY be interested.... I have been looking for something like that to put into a jeep that needs lovin so that i can get some dependability.

I mean, if you think about the fact that you can commonly find XJs on CL for around 500 that "needs motor work" or has a blown head gasket, etc, then you take ~1800+500 and have a rig that you know will run for ~2300... then all you need is to move your lift stuff to the "new" beater rig.....

makes this a fair asking price to me! GLWS!

Yea, I've thought about the same thing just never came across any good potential vehicles.

I'll keep an ear out for ya, hit me up in a month and if I've still got it, we'll work something out.
