JCR 1-ton steering for $130? (Know your way around a Jeep?)

We have noticed a lot of different bulletin boards having discussions about our 1-ton steering. We have produced this kit for almost 3 years now, but the interest on the market is starting to peak.

So, we are looking to find someone to do an installation write-up and product review for our 1-ton steering kit. The documents would need to contain clear pictures and detailed instructions. We would host the write-up on our website.

Here are the details for the deal:

1. Must be a member, we support the people that support us
2. Must have digital camera, needs to take clear pictures. Minimum of 3.0 megapixels in a large enough format to crop.
3. Must be able to do the write up in an editable program, such as Microsoft word.
4. Need to be competent of the under side of a Jeep. Must know most terminology on front axle, knuckles, pitman arm, ect.

The deal is $130 shipped for our 1 ton steering kit.*

I just bought one of these setups about an hour ago for the april price $255. If I had any extra time I would have jumped all over this. JCR has great customer service, Brain answered my emails quickly. I will do business with JCR again.

1. Mechanical ability: ~5-6
2. Greatest mechanical acievement: Install Borla header, or fender trimmming. Although getting my xj to pass smog was a major acheivement. I would say the latter would be the most difficult. Presently installing D44 rear axle.
3. Major Mods: D44 rear, 4.5" lift, Header, Fender trimming for 33" tires.
4. Wheelin in Sothern California.
5. I live to get outdoors away from the congestion of the city, and the challenge of a new trail.

Mine currently has the RE 4.5 Superflex lift and BONE STOCK steering. My mechanical skills are 8 or so across the board but no welding. (yes I can use a reamer) Besides that I have a good digital camera for comprehensive photos.
You planning on posting the write-up on Jeepin.Com as well??

one the scale of 1-10 9.5, I can wrench on anything and weld everything except for the crack of dawn and a broken heart. Greatest mechanical achievment, I have done 2 frame off restoations, and built a very capable Mj for about $3k. my jeep mods are lockrigt up front,welded rear, 4.5 inch lift in front, spring over in rear, removed bed, put fuel tank up top, removeable fenders on rear, onboard air, rollcage, custom built sliders,bumpers front and rear, half doors, and diff guards. on the lineup is rear disc brake swap. I mostly do my wheeling at Paragon adventure park, The most enjoyable part about the sport is learning, and dicovering things, and talking over ideas with other people. I really need a better steering setup and I am on a super tight budget, I wanted your 1-ton steering setup anyhow so might as well let me do it and show everyone how easy it is. And if you would like to see picks of my rig the are on the NAC forum. And if you pick me I will also do an install of your rock sliders and do a write up, they are already here waiting to be installed. thanks

1. I would have to say in the range of 6-7
2. On my Jeep, never having to take it to a shop except for gears (lack of tools!!! Hate that part) I'm a CH-53E Super Stallion Crew chief/Mechanic, so my greatest mechanical achievement would have to be pulling and reinstalling a 10 ton main gearbox/rotor head in a single day.
3. I would have to say the major ones would be Full Tractions 6" Long arm kit, Rigid Co front and rear bumpers, AA SYE, Tom Woods shaft, 4.88 gears front and rear, steering plates, and other misc items.
4. Pretty much everywhere I can. Mainly east coast stuff, Geroge Washington National Forest, Tellico, Paragon, Blue Ridge National Forest, and any power line in the area!
5. I'd have to say the chicks! Hahaha, no, my wife would kill me. Probably the fact that you are unique in the offroading world. More so on the east coast than the west or midwest, but there are very few people who properly lift Cherokees and are designed for a purpose, not just to look cool. Everyone lifts trucks out here to play in the mud. Few of us lift them so we can go everywhere. So I love that the most, the uniqueness of it all.

Pick 3 or 4 folks, get their write-ups, then take the best from each one to get the best install write-up. Then give proper credit to those that contributed...

i havnt really used it much, i got it all aligned, and snapped my trac bar... waiting on a new one, over all tough i like it alot, and im running 5 inch lift

On a scale of 1-10 what would you rate your mechanical ability? Probably around a 5.5-6. I worked in an offroad/suspension shop for awhile

What do you feel is your greatest mechanical achievement? Currently doing a complete rebuild on a 68 porsche, have also lifted a number of cherokees, wranglers and 1 ton trucks.

What are your Jeeps major mods? About 4" of lift, ARB Bull bar with Durango 4x4 rear bumper, 31" michilins for now.

Where do you wheel? Northern and mid colorado along with a seasonal trip to moab

What is your favorite part about this sport? Meeting a bunch of people with similar interests and i have started to get my dad into it.

1. On a scale of 1-10 what would you rate your mechanical ability? This is a tough one, Maybe a 8.5-9.
2. What do you feel is your greatest mechanical achievement? Even tougher one, my favorite would have to be the 2, rear triangulated 4 link conversions I have done, one on a CJ one on a TJ. Both were design/build setups, fabricating everything except the joints.
3. What are your Jeeps major mods? The XJ - 8.8 rear TNT truss and other stuff, 6" front full traction long arm setup, SYE, 4.88's 35" tyres, unirail plating, and alot of small stuff, and lots of tubing for when I get a good two days to fab the cage.
4. Where do you wheel? Mostly Southern calif (big bear & hammers), looking to venture out more.
5. What is your favorite part about this sport? Testing the limits of the mechanical and design limitation of what I have done, and then go back and improve upon them. As well as at the same time giving a further reason to take trips with the wife and kid for family time. And then you cant leave out, the overly nice people that we meet and how 'family-like' most are, even if you just met them.

And as you can see I Need to fix my quick fix I had done for a recent event.
