I just wanted to post up some information on a new park that opened up in southern WV last summer. The Park is called IVY Branch and is part of the Hatfield-McCoy trail systems. It's the first and for now the only Hatfield and McCoy trail system to be opened to full size vehicles. The first link is the the Trail Systems website and once there click on IVY Branch.... I've also included a link to our club site where you can find additional pics and info. If you like video's search UTube for "One Ton Superswamper Productions" he has scores of IVY video's for your viewing pleasure. Our club makes the pilgrimage every spring to Harlan KY but this may be our last year because IVY has arguably better trail and more of them.... with new trails opening every day. The trail system is much like Harlan with trails ranging from mild to wild......

Thanks for posting up!

I saw your post in the other section and forgot to respond. I'm technically the "Northern NAC Events Coordinator" (i.e. pretty much New Englad) and we do have a southern coordinator as well.

Don't feel the need to rely on us to set up events though, plenty of people up this way have posted up impromptu wheeling trips that aren't NAXJA official events. The only NAXJA official even right now is NACfest (FYI Pre-registration is up for NACfest right now too!).

Welcome to the NAC!

I've been wanting to get down that way for some time. Thanks for the links and pics, the place looks awesome. Definitely count of seeing me in the future.

it looks very adventureous, even alittle jungley, and different to the stuff we have up here.

I love that kind of stuff. Im down. soon as I have a running jeep Im heading down.

No width limit... we have a guy in a full size Ramcharger and most of the buggies are full width..... as for helmets... that was a big issue with everyone but buy a good lightweight one and it's not bad. My boy loves his.... I guess it makes him feel like each ride is an adventure. Keep an eye on our site we try to get in IVY once a month or so and would be glad to show you guys around. Dont forget to check out youtube.... lots of good video's out there.

most of us should be wearing helmets most of the time anyway.

the only person I feel bad for is Colin I don't think they make helmets that big.

Well I guess the Empire Offroad Crew will have to plan a trip here this year. It's about 4 hours from us and we love Harlan which is about 7 hours from us.

Give me a shout before you guy's go down and we'll meet you down there... it's alot of territory so having a guide to maximize your time on the desired trails makes for a much better trip. We're heading down this weekend for a Friday / Saturday shakedown ride for our Harlan Trip next month. I'll post up some updated pics soon... :)
