It has begun!

As a couple of you know (thanks again for the help), I'm finally starting to grow the XJ.

I've been saving and buying parts over the last two years. I've finally reached the point where I've said screw it, got a loan for what I didn't have saved. So now I've started a massive amount of ordering parts and pieces. It's still going to be while before all parts get on the XJ (I'm thinking it's a winter project.) But it's a start.

But here's a list of what I've got or am waiting for Brown to bring to my door.

35 12.5 15 Goodyear MTRs, with new steel rims
Detroit and 5.13 gears for the HP Dana 44 that is next to the garage.
Detroit and 5.14 gears in a True Hi9 third member for the 9 inch next to the garage.
8.8 rear disk brakes for the 9 inch
JCR Offroad stage one winch bumper, with a Superwinch EPi 9.0
Pair of ACOS
R.E. Drop brackets and adjustable control arms.

I'll keep making periodic updates here, as I finally get things done. But don't expect fast work, too many other things need my time as well.

Second battery with power cut off in place and hooked up, less the winch lines.

Place where the high idle switch will go. Plus the relocated electrical box that had to move to make room for battery number 2.

Looks great so far Daryl! Sounds like you've got a good grasp on what you want for your rig. The axle projects sound really cool too.... I'll be keeping an eye on how those turn out.

And as for that Boulderite that dogged ya about the drop brackets...... just remember that came from a guy that built his rig to haul peddle-bikes when he's not watching the grass grow under his rig via the on-board cameras/monitors - and didn't have to pay the big money for his lift like anyone else...... Did I just say that out loud? :D

So should I leave off the camera hooked to the laptop that spots my passener side front tire?:dunno:

BTW thanks, and do I need to put the new rear turn signal on my rig for COfest... That is to say are you coming?

Just curious, but why did you move the airbox and battery around?
Because he has two batteries in there........

The nail has been squarely hit on the head.
