I didn't want to wait for the new camera at the expense of not working on the Jeep.

Sorry.:spin1:

I did find out that there are spacers that need to be added to the 9" for the disk brake conversion.

Then with that spacer in, you need an 1/8" spacer to move the disk back to the center of the caliper. Thankfully I have my buddy with a CAD Plasma cutter, and with a bit of 1/8" flat stock, I now have those spacers also.

It finally warmed up a bit here, so I got some more work done to the XJ.

Not quite hot enough.

Hotter, maybe not fast enough with the wire.

Now to figure out the track bar, and the steering. (since my E-bay flat tops....weren't)

Is that the TnT truss?

How did you like it?

Yes, it's a TnT truss. Fit was good, just a small amount of modifing to get the truss to fit over the center section. Kinda disapointed that for the price, it doesn't have any thing in the way of a track bar bracket.
I think that installation is not quite as easy as the website would lead you to believe.

Over all 3 out of 5 stars. Maybe 3.5......

Thanks for the info on the flat tops, but I'm going a different route with them now.

These will let me keep everything Ford, since that is what I've got. The Chevy flat tops would have meant Chevy brakes, brake brackets, and stub shafts. These will be a "change the knuckle and go" type of thing.

More to come when it shows up.

Dedenbear..... good stuff.

Nice job Daryl!
I'd probably try and get that angle a little closer if you're going to use it for a DD, but I'm pretty picky about bumpsteer.
If you'll be trailering it, it's probably not a huge deal.

Cutting the axle side bracket off this weekend, building a taller one. It's not a daily driver. But when I tried to find a spot to put the PSC ram on the steering, the only place that it was going to work was under the tie rod. Bad things could happen to a ram in that location. A taller bracket will give me room to have the ram above the tie rod, and lessen the difference between the track bar and the drag link. So more photos coming this week end. I have a lot of catching up to do with what has been done as compaired to what has been reported here.

Any good ideas on how to mount the ram to the tie rod? I'm not overly fond of just welding the brackets to the rod it's self....

Seacrest OUT!!!

A test drive in the river....

It's getting there....

Rear bumper, hitch and gas tank skid still need put back on. And I need rear shocks.... I don't know how I always end up without rear shocks????

I dunno...... the added weight of the tank skid, shocks and bumper might blow that skidsteer tire..........looks like you need to cut/remove some more metal........she's a heavy pig! :D
