Looking to jump to 35's
my axles will take it
D44 front Ford 9 rear--hehe

not sure how the driveshaft Ujoints will hold up.
I am locked front and rear
4.0 engine

I have a steering brace on the box..but think I need a plate on the frame??
Mainly not sure how the DS ujoints will hold up.
I am not heavy on the gas, and don't abuse my rig..but I plan on using it.

Looking for input
Thanks
David

I have been running 1310 ujoints with 37's and have never broken a drive shaft joint. I have still have CV's F/R and but upgraded the drive shafts. I am pretty heavy on the gas as well.

my friend runs stock wrangler u joints on his yj on 40's. only breaks em when he dumps the clutch on the pavement lol...you mean you had a 44 and 9in before and you werent already running at least 35's? :spin1:

I'm running 35's with my 44/9 inch combo right now. I haven't snapped a front driveshaft U-joint yet. But I'm waiting for the day... That's my worry also. Especially because I've ordered 38 inch TSL SX's and their on their way... Might have to upgrade the front shaft...

I hope that 9 inch holds up. 31 spline. If not, I'll have to upgrade to 35 spline shafts... :D Nothing binds on the front shaft, I've limited the down travel with straps. And the joints are brand new. Cross my fingers and have a spare handy just in case.....

Jumping into 35s is like jumping into water over your head if you cannot swim!

I would suggest you do a lot of research and reading before "mounting some 35s". I read enough to decide on 33s. But it is your decision.

This site has enough information to make an informed decision so do a couple of different searches and enjoy the process. :scottm:
