ISO Coolant reservoir cap part number

2.5 and 2.8 both used the same radiator and shroud. You should be good there. Swapped those parts onto Buster from a 2.5 parts truck after a deer strike. The fans though, spin in opposite directions. In case you were wondering.

As far as the cap, if I remember correctly there is a Volvo part that works better.

If you are looking for a shroud, look at Rock Auto. They have pictures of each one so you can make sure it is right before you order.

Rock auto does not even list a shroud for the 2.8. Just another early jeep XJ parts black hole. Good to know there is an alternative.

I ordered mine from Morris. The generic part number for the shroud that seems to pop up all over is CH3110103 and OEM 52027762.

So I will post my success on this and the coolant cap for anyone else looking will know.

Parts arrived today and here are the results:

Crown automotive J3223202 (Mopar Coolant Bottle Cap) reservoir cap will snap on as long as the extra filler nozzle is removed. I really don't know why it is there in the first place. Snug and feels secured.

CH3110103 is the right fan shroud for these years, too.
